Pinon Ranch Consulting partnered with Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation and the Mammoth Gran Fondo for approximately seven years, supporting the organization’s digital infrastructure, communications, and operational systems. The engagement concluded in 2025, and we remain proud of the work completed during that time to support the organization’s programs and mission.
WEBSITE DESIGN + SUPPORT + EVENT OPERATIONS
As cyclists ourselves, the Mammoth Gran Fondo has always been a project that is especially close to our hearts. The event brings riders from across the country to experience some of the most spectacular road cycling in the Eastern Sierra, and we’ve been honored to help support its continued growth and success.
We rebuilt the event website on the Squarespace platform, creating a more organized, user-friendly experience for both prospective and registered riders. The redesign focused on simplifying navigation, improving content organization, and creating a consistent visual experience throughout the site.
Key improvements included:
A complete reorganization of site content and navigation
Consistent design standards across all event pages
Simplified content management for staff
Integration with email communication platforms for audience growth and engagement
Dedicated sponsor and vendor inquiry systems
Improved access to rider resources and event information
Beyond the website itself, we provide ongoing content management and updates throughout the event cycle to ensure riders always have access to accurate and up-to-date information.
We also support the event’s registration platform and rider communication systems, helping answer participant questions and ensuring the registration process remains smooth and easy to navigate.
One of our favorite improvements was the launch of the Online Rider Guide, which replaced thousands of printed pages with a digital resource that riders could access from anywhere. Not only did this significantly reduce printing costs and waste, but it also allowed event organizers to provide the most current information possible right up to event weekend.
COMMUNICATIONS + SOCIAL MEDIA
Effective communication is critical for an event that welcomes riders from across the country. We developed a comprehensive communication strategy that helps participants stay informed and engaged throughout their event journey.
This work includes creating branded email templates that align with the website experience, as well as planning and executing communication campaigns across multiple channels. From event announcements and registration reminders to rider information and event updates, our goal is to ensure participants always have the information they need when they need it.

Over the years, we’ve supported the Mammoth Gran Fondo through a variety of graphic design projects that help strengthen the event’s identity and participant experience.
Our work has included custom cycling kit designs for multiple event years, print advertising, digital advertising, and promotional graphics used across a variety of marketing channels. Each piece is designed to maintain a consistent visual identity while capturing the energy and excitement of one of the premier cycling events in the Eastern Sierra.
The result is a cohesive event brand and communication system that supports registration, rider engagement, event operations, and long-term event growth.
